The Travel Through Time

There seems to be a time machine that can transport people through time. The whole of Term One have passed in a blink of an eye but this blog is still living in the dinosaur ages. I would try to update it more often, just that the Ministry of Madness is bursting with activity. We have successfully published two more books, under my brother Julian Longtaro and my best friend and personal assistant Minty, Ocean Mist and Vanishing Vooks. They are a great success, but we regretfully cannot release any to the public. We must be posting some excerpts on Julian's blog, vanishingvooks.
Sincerely,
7183
PS. I am now living in Riverside Drive instead of Fat Otter Street.

Holidays

Sometimes, I feel that I am seriously retarded. Up to now, I have no idea what the meaning of the word "holiday" is. Someone ever told me that the holidays is a time to enjoy yourself and try not to think about homework and stuff. Others told me that holidays is days that there is no school but still work. One person even told me that holidays is a time to relax but still revise your work. Surprisingly, all the statements concerning holidays are all different. My holidays go as such:
1. Lots of P6 assessments
Ok, I must admit that I had more assessments in Primary 5 but my father haven't bought my English assessments cause he does not know my syllabus. Anyway, I still have to go for my Chinese-grandmother-syllabus-tuition (she is my tuition teacher).
2. Sneaking off to play com. everyday
Haha, it is not exactly sneaking, but when my grandparents come along, I pretend to be typing the new fantasy story or checking my email. They don't know much about coms, fortunately. But if my father comes over, he is on the com twenty-four hours a day so don't even think about touching it. (Did i mention I am staying at my grandparents' house?)
3. Storybooks
Spent a lot of time reading storybooks. More than usual.
4. Good Food
Meals are better than ever, cause my grandmother has more time to cook. Can open the fridge any time and sneak something out, though unfortunately there is NOTHING in the fridge.
5. Piano
My songs are so hard that when I play one time, my hands hurt. And my grandfather thinks that I am supposed to play 7 hours of piano or something.
6. Playing with my sister
Spends a lot of time fooling around with my sister. Anyway I have nothing else to do.
That's all for now. Will post when I have time.

Report One: Examinations

Sad......for PSLE marking day, supposedly our holiday, I am sitting at the table staring at the four white walls of my refugee camp 25 hours a day, with a few decallion and one things to do and no time to finish them all. I finally got away after a few million hours of assessment, and I can heave a sigh of relief that I do not need to do until twelve midnight. Phew......opps, I better hurry, before someone sees what I am doing. I am supposed to be doing my debate speech but I already finished, to anyone in my family, it means back to work. I wish I can fall sake during my exams, but the chances are almost nil. I better not depend too much on that, then. It is impossible to escape the exams unless some weird disease come flying by. Everyone is giving piority to their own subjects (my father science and maths, my grandmother chinese etc.) and I am caught in the middle cause they want me to finish all my assessments, all my mock papers, all my readings and goodness knows what else. Bet they don't care even if I die of exams-itis. I wish I was my sister. She is only Primary One and complaining about how difficult her mock paper is. Mine was like a few thousand times more difficult. I don't know why the syllabus grow easier over time, she don't even need to do xizi and only need to correct mistakes three times. I think when my brother (four years old) gets to primary 5, there would be no more comprehension. Wish that I could stay three years old forever. That kind of relaxed, carefree, joyful life is to be treasured as it would not last long, only about a few years while school years last about 20 years!

Poem Two: Running Away

by: 7183

On a chilly winter's night,
After a violent internal fight,
Trudging down the lonely road,
Carrying on my bag a heavy load.
Not even wearing the thinnest coat,
Wishing that I was a furry goat,
Putting on foot after the other,
Wishing that I could go back to my mother.
But I'm running away from home,
Away from the ever protective dome,
I can't stand the scoldings and slappings,
Especially when I'd rather be sleeping.
Suddenly I realized I was doomed,
Across the street a figure loomed,
I screamed a scream of sheerest terror,
As I stood rooted to the spot in horror......

Song One: Homework!

by: 7183

1st verse:
Homework, homework, what a bore,
Homework, homework, what an eye-sore.
I go back home and what do I see?
A pile of homework waiting for me.

Chorus:
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, I HATE YOU,
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, YOU MAKE ME FEEL BLUE.
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, NOT A DAY,
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, YOU LET ME GET AWAY.

2nd Verse:
Homework, homework, they grow on trees,
Homework, homework, they come in threes.
Homework, homework, do you find
They are clotting up our empty minds.

Chorus:
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, I HATE YOU,
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, YOU MAKE ME FEEL BLUE.
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, NOT A DAY,
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, YOU LET ME GET AWAY.

3rd Verse:
Homework, homework, when would you stop
Homework, homework, giving us jobs.
Homework, homework, you give us stress,
And the students don't get to rest.

Chorus:
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, I HATE YOU,
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, YOU MAKE ME FEEL BLUE.
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, NOT A DAY,
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, YOU LET ME GET AWAY.

4th Verse:
Homework, homework, everyday,
I toil and toil and don't get pay.
Homework, homework, you are very bad,
You turn us all into insane lads.

Chorus:
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, I HATE YOU
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, YOU MAKE ME FEEL BLUE.
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, NOT A DAY,
HOMEWORK, HOMEWORK, YOU LET ME GET AWAY.

Poem One: Exam Stress

by: 7183

I am sitting here
in the boring room,
Upon the waves
Of impending doom.
I feel like going
to the park,
To be joyful and unburdened
happy as a lark.
But my exams are coming
its here their headed,
It is one step
to getting beheaded.
My brain is buzzing
with signs and equations
Science and Chinese
as well as English composition.
I want to be
free from examinations,
So I'll never again
have to feel the tension.
My doomsday is coming
I can feel it,
But I'll remember the day
when I didn't use my wit.
